The Yovas Guardian twitched playfully in its sleep as the young boy walked past. As far as the guardian was concerned, the boy was just another butterfly in the wooded clearing. Somnia Thanatos, nine year old Illusionist prodigy, was lost. In some woods. The girl he had just saved from the guardian backed up against a tree. As usual (To humans at least) Somnia was an aging man, salt and pepper beard, and gaunt. A black overcoat covered the man, although Somnia wore nothing more then shorts and sandals.
"Who are you?" The girl asked, her fear subsiding.
"I have many names...people call me many things." Somnia spoke menacing. He had learned long ago that theatrics could take you a long why in any situation. "Some call me Hypnos. Others call me Morpheous, even the devil. You, though, may call me Somina." Somnia explained, advancing on her. "I have arrived here in error, and need to find my young charge before I am on my way again." Somnia said. In truth, he didn't know how or if he could leave the place, or if Nicholas was even on the same planet as him. Whatever got the message across. "Would you be able to take me to the nearest settlement?" Somnia asked. His image wavered, and he became a much younger man, maybe twenty. That perked her willingness.
For the next hour, the young girl flirted incestently with Somnia. He could not have been more disgusted. He could see no reason that his brothers and fellow mages would find females even remotely interesting. They complained, that smelt weird, they were weak, and too vain. Making his way into town, he parted company with the young girl and set out looking for his counterpart.
